I started in insurance and workers' compensation investigations in 1995. I obtained my investigative license in 2000.
I am well versed in vehicle surveillance as well as covert surveillance using hidden cameras. I have worked on homicide investigations and missing persons investigations. I have worked on whistleblower investigations. I have done adoption cases where I have been able to reunite people with their biological parents. I have also done many investigations involving burglary and theft, as well as accident investigations of personal injury and auto accidents. I have done domestic and child custody investigations. I have worked as an expert witness in cases involving video evidence collection and video forensics.
I have experience in designing and installing video surveillance systems both hidden and otherwise for special needs in investigations. I do work for several different law firms that defend doctors. I am very regularly called upon to interview doctors' and other medical personnel and other witnesses to collect evidence and prepare for court.
Many private investigators are ex law enforcement. I have worked with law enforcement many times on different cases, but it is much different working without a badge and the intimidation that it presents. I must be able to get witnesses to cooperate without the threat and coercion of incarceration. It requires excellent communication and people skills to get the level of cooperation necessary and gain the trust of people who do not have to work with you.
I have experience in directing complex investigations and generating comprehensive reports and coming to investigative conclusions based on the evidence collected. I have experience in evidence collection of many different types, including physical evidence, video evidence, audio evidence as well as digital and electronic media. I have worked on many cases that have led to convictions including theft investigations, homicide investigations, drug dealing investigations and fraud investigations. I have also worked in financial investigations and elder abuse investigations.
